Lex Lavo Talks About Breaking Into Music & More on The Ivy Show

East Harlem rapper Lex Lavo has made a splash in underground music scene following his collaboration with fellow New Yorker Dave East on hit single, “40’s n 40’s” produced by Stercity. Following the success of the single, Lavo has since went on to team up with producers such as High Volumn, Scott Supreme, CloudKicker and 2one2.

Lex Lavo stopped by FRP TV’s The Ivy Show to discuss his entry into the music game, his influences, growing up in Puerto Rico, and more. During the the interview, when asked about his start Lavo responded, “Honestly, I got into music around six or seven years old. My big brother was really into Hip-Hop but I was living in [Puerto Rico] at the time. He put me on to ‘Flesh of my Flesh, Blood of my Blood’ by DMX after that I [told myself] that was it for me! I love this music!”.
