Health is wealth. So, that means access to quality household items and groceries is crucial to your overall well-being. Legendary London duo Krept & Konan understand this notion and have put their resources together to make it a reality in Great Britain.
Yesterday (January 20), the “I Spy” musicians announced the launch of Saveways. All supermarket openings are a call for community celebration, but this forthcoming ribbon-cutting marked an even more momentous occasion. Krept & Konan’s wholesale Saveways is now Great Britain’s first ethnically inclusive supermarket tailored to the needs of Black, Asian, and other minorities.
Krept & Konan expressed their pride behind Saveways’ upcoming opening in a statement. “It’s an honor for us to partner up on this venture,” they said. “We are all about representation in the community and finding solutions; we are all from underrepresented communities, so this is a perfect partnership. Saveways is game-changing for our community, and we are excited to bring this vision to life.”
Their co-founder, Kaysor Ali, echoed their sentiments, saying: “Together, we’ve combined our skills, networks, and passion for creating a supermarket experience that not only serves the community but sets a new standard for quality, inclusivity and excellence in the UK food retail space. This partnership has allowed Saveways to become more than just a supermarket. It’s a statement of culture, unity, and progress for our communities.”
Saveways will formally open its doors on February 1, 2025, and is located at 102 Beddington Lane in Croydon. Saveways will offer halal meats, exotic fish, and world foods, including baked goods, fruits, and vegetables, in addition to household goods. Visit its official website here.
