In March, Kota The Friend released his new studio album, No Rap On Sunday Tour, directly to fans. This fall, Kota The Friend will hit the road for his supporting his No Rap On Sunday Tour. Hello Oshay, Radamiz, and KingTrey will serve as special guests across various stops of the 23-date run. The No Rap On Sunday Tour will launch on September 2 in Vancouver at Aurum and end at City Winery in Philadelphia on October 8.
In a statement Kota discussed the vision behind the album, which is sure to serve as inspiration for this tour. “[‘No Rap On Sunday’] is about sticking to values that facilitate growth,” he said. “It aligns perfectly with independent artistry. Being an independent artist is the same thing as not selling away grandmas house. No Rap on Sunday is a value system.”
He continued: “Understanding its not only about me. We survive because of the ‘No Rap on Sunday’ concept. And even though these values are not currently being promoted in mainstream culture, there are some people out here that are living by the sacred code.”
