Fool’s Gold Records’ producer and DJ Falcons teams up with recording artist Kandisha on new single, “Ride” inspired by social justice uprisings around the country. While Falcons’ production is great, the real breakout on this trap rap and grunge fusion track is vocalist Kandisha.

The gritty electronic anchored song provides the perfect environment for the Los Angeles-based rapper and singer to channel the aggression necessary, nostalgic of early Kelis, for the protest anthem. Similar to Kendrick Lamar’s Alright, “Ride” is the rally to this generation’s budding activists. “Ride” isn’t looking to make nice or draw up sympathy points, rather a declaration that today’s youth will not stand for injustice.

In a statement shared on social media, Falcons shared how the collaboration came about writing, “the song and video were created entirely with the help of our closest homies and family in LA, and that means so much to us.”

Later adding, “my friend Kandisha and I went to the first major LA protest in May on bike and we had no idea what was coming… after the first weekend of unrest in Los Angeles, we were inspired to make some fight shit based on the energy and frustration surrounding BLM and the movement for equality in the United States.”
