JPEGMAFIA Is ‘The Who’, What, When & Where

JPEGMAFIA

Indie rap star JPEGMAFIA has officially joined the IHC 1NFINITY universe! Following the succuss of his 2018 critically acclaimed LP, Veteran, released a gem of a single from the same sessions.

“The Who” is an exercise in playful lyricism over a dreamstate-inducing beat. PEGGY trades playful musings; equally braggadocious and subtly self-deprecating, meanwhile guest vocalist Eyas soothingly sings the merits of pressing pause on her fantasies.

The entire track clocks in at a quick 2 minutes and 31 seconds, yet it’s infectious quality demands multiple repeat listens.

When asked about how his new trask came about JPEGMAFIA replied, “[The Who] is one of the last songs I recorded for Veteran. It didn’t end up on the album, but I always wanted to use it in a creative way because I really enjoy the song. There’s an innocence to it that I hope is relatable to people. I made the beat naked.”
