Rotterdam, Netherlands-based indie folk-pop singer and songwriter Jessy Yasmeen returns with a new dreamy single, “Come Dance” (via BERT Music). The song serves as a sample of what’s to come from her full project, Isolation Tapes.
The dreamy track effortlessly blends both her Dutch and South American heritage which is showcased not only the use of instrumentation but also her vocally delivery.
When asked about the story behind the track, Yasmeen replied, “[Come Dance] is about someone you meet on a sultry summer evening and with whom you would like to have a dance. But that person doesn’t want to dance because it makes him feel uncomfortable. With this song, you try to persuade him to risk it anyway. It can also be seen as a leap into the deep/unknown and to just let go and enjoy.”
