Out now, the music video for Jess Williamson’s “Wild Rain” features the singer-songwriter in a swirl of ethereal imagery. Directed by Eli Welbourne of Studio Kānde, “Wild Rain” is the third single off Jess Williamson‘s Cosmic Wink, released on May 11 via Mexican Summer Records.
The Rhodes-soaked song begins with a ghostly air, until a swell of synths gives way like the heavens parting. Williamson’s voice emerges from the clouds promising that “I will treasure your patience / from you I learned what it means to make a family.”
Listening to “Wild Rain,” listeners can’t help but feel hopeful. After all, Cosmic Wink was recorded amidst the bliss of new love between Williamson and RF Shannon’s Shane Renfro — her bandmate of four years and the partner with whom she’d found herself so intertwined.
