Celebrating a year since his first release, as well as his 28th solar return, Jafé calls upon past collaborators and friends paulina and JNTHN STEIN for the Afro-fusion 6th single, “666: Succubus.” From talking drums to dead beetles and crickets used as shakers, JNTHN STEIN (Team Supreme) produces a uniquely rhythmic track while Jafé takes you through the pain and suffering of over dependency in a relationship.
“I think it’s sad that the general idea of feeling ‘whole’ comes from finding a partner that ‘completes’ you. We should be complete and full of love within ourselves. I believe a true partnership should only elevate your happiness and love for yourself and others,” says Jafé, who has been using his recent string of singles to speak out against domestic abuse in all forms.
“The Succubus just ends up draining you everything – your happiness, your patience, your love, your identity.” Paulina, who last teamed up with Jafé on Russ’ “Willy Wonka,” contributes the role of the Succubus to the track, laughing and cackling while drowning you in your own sorrows. With the official music video for “Succubus” coming before the end of 2017 as well as one final single, it seems Jafé is putting the gears in motion to release his debut LP, Apples From An Alien – an ambitious 20 track concept album, due early 2018.

Whether I'm popping in to an open mic night or digital crate-digging for hours through my favorite digital streaming platform, finding indie artists is the name then telling their story is the game.
