New York City-based afro-rock star Jafé returns with hot new single, “Losing Game” from off upcoming A/B release, The Story of The Crown. The folkloric rhythm and dance centered track co-produced and engineered by Jonny Kiembock aims to inspire resilience in the people.
When asked about the forthcoming project Jafé said, “as an Afro-Latino, it’s been inspiring to witness the growth and popularization of Latinx music within the American market. But, like most things that get consumed by the US music industry, I was disappointed with their lack of depth and courage to go beyond Reggaeton and Latin Trap. With ‘Losing Game’ and ‘The Crown’ I chose to honor more traditional South American rhythms.”
Jafé continued on to say, “‘Losing Game’ is also about accountability. Looking myself in the mirror and reminding me the world can be cold, but I still must offer my warmth. Just because things seem bleak at the moment, doesn’t mean we give up. Even when the odds are stacked against you, there is still so much to be grateful and hopeful for.”
