Hailing from Athens, Georgia, Haunted Shed is breaking out with their new track, “Old Joy.” As the lead single off of their forthcoming debut album Faltering Light (via Strolling Bones Records). Calling back to the songwriting chops of early The Shins records and the atmosphere of New Order’s Movement, “Old Joy” unfolds into a spectacular projection of what’s to come.
The official video shot and edited by Cartter Fontaine and Alec Peyton, gives us a look into songwriter Etienne de Rocher’s mind. He finds his way through the forest, changes clothes, and prepares for a night of bouncing with fireworks. The song does the same as it aligns perfectly with the sense of imagination in mundanity that can be fostered through its droney nature.
