Valentine’s Day has long since passed, but the subject of love remains atop Hand Habits’ mind. To break his two-year hiatus, Hand Habits has announced his forthcoming studio album, Blue Reminder.
The project’s lead single, “Wheel Of Change,” paints the sonic landscape of what’s to come—dreamy, warm, and folk-dipped symphonies. Hand Habits and Joseph Lorge join forces to co-produce the body of work’s 12 tracks. To smooth things out, Hand Habit enlists Phil Hartunian, Ella Feingold, and Griffin Goldsmith for additional engineering.
In a statement shared with ENVERT, Hand Habits spoke about the album’s core messaging. “I think it’s so corny to write love songs,” said Hand Habits. “I can’t deny that a lot of these are ostensibly love songs, but they are also love songs through my very specific kind of lens. It is about how falling in love does feel both terrifying and exciting, but this record is about commitment in a lot of ways. Committing to a person, to an idea, to being a more honest version of yourself.”
