Another day, another controversy it seems like for Minneapolis-based record label, Rhymesayers Entertainment! Just a few weeks ago, the label cut ties with two of their artists’ PROF and Dem Atlas amidst sexual misconduct allegations. However, former signee Psalm One also known by the stage name Hologram Kizzie, took to social media to share that their actions should only be taken at face value.
As an interview 2015 interview with CityPages resurfaces, Psalm One stands firm in the belief that the label has not only known about the behavior of their acts but has created an environment for it to go unchecked.
The Chicago native took to Twitter to call for the boycott of the label in its entirety not just her former label mates.
I love music but I’ll be damned if I let this shit break me, put me in a permanent fucked up mental state, reduce me to an enabler or kill me.

I’ll keep my jams on my hard drive before I ever do that.
As PEOPLE, we deserve more than what we’ve been getting out hip hop.
😔
That’s why I go so hard on this #boycottrhymesayers play and I’m holding all this space for survivors.

Cuz this music shit used to be where outcasts could go to get love. Now everybody’s so fucking worried their clout the scene has been spoiled. And the music gets spoiled.
Others quickly joined in on the hashtag taking to their accounts to share their feelings about the recent allegations against the former acts.
It’s early AF and it’s STILL #BoycottRhymesayers https://t.co/L4B6eJKXI6
