After public revealing her personal battles with battle on national television during her time on NBC’s The Voice, singer and songwriter, Felicia Temple has continued to push her artistry and her Jamison Claxton directed video for single, “Carpe Diem” is a testament to that.
The lead single off her new EP, The Balancing Act, available on all e-music platforms, speaks directly to that difficult period in her life. Coming out on the other side victorious, “Carpe Diem” is Temple’s battle cry.
When asked about the inspiration behind the EP, Temple replied, “This EP came to be as a way to cope while I was dealing with cancer. I wrote music to help me get through an extremely dark time. I put my heart and soul in it, completely writing and producing it with all live instrumentation. It is, without a doubt, my strongest body of work to date and a reminder that something beautiful can come out of something so horrible.”
