Father John Misty’s ‘I Love You, Honeybear’ Is Being Reissue For Its 10th Anniversary

Fath John Misty

Father John Misty was thrust into mainstream music conversation ten years ago. The “Screamland” singer’s acclaimed album,  I Love You, Honeybear, can nearly single-handedly take credit for that sudden bump in popularity.

To commemorate the album’s 10th anniversary, Father John Misty revealed I Love You, Honeybear will officially be reissued on Valentine’s Day (February 14) as a single vinyl reissued LP. The collectible LP will be available in two limited color options (Pearlescent Red and Coke Bottle Clear).

In addition to the vinyl, over on streaming platforms, fans can enjoy several demos from that era as well as Father John Misty’s cover of Nirvana’s “Heart Shaped Box.”

At the initial time of release, Father John Misty described the album as: “My ambition, aside from making an indulgent, soulful, and epic sound worthy of the subject matter, was to address the sensuality of fear, the terrifying force of love, the unutterable pleasures of true intimacy, and the destruction of emotional and intellectual prisons in my own voice.”
