Fans Get Exclusive First-Look Screening of Film ‘PRÆY’

Praey filmAfter their successful first-round  IndieGoGo campaign in October 2015, the team behind hit film ‘PRÆY’ gave fans a sneak peek in an exclusive first-look screening at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Film & TV on Friday, April 15.

Recording artist PRODA who is the film’s creator details that, “PRÆY was created out of a passion and need to tell a story that stems directly from the Black community, PRÆY is a journey of self-realization, exploring the complexities of choice when surrounded by influences from the streets, gang life, and violence.”

The film follows main character, Tymir, on a rocky journey called life. In search of self,  Tymir struggles to survive in a city that eats its children. “We’re telling the story that many people have lived — where some have survived and some have lost. It’s the stories of the streets, gang life, violence and how some people can’t find their way out,” says PRODA.

The team behind the production of PRÆY includes PRODA serving as the writer and artist, Isabella Tan as director, Sam Wolff as cinematographer, Prisca Choe as production designer/art director and Jonah Best as creative producer/editor.  Sofia Dieck, Emilie Wilde and Jason Zheng all served as the film’s producer.
