Brighton's Lambrini Girls play a whirlwind of punk angst with barbed lyrics taking on sexual harassment, gender inequality, societal troubles, and more. Issuing their debut EP, You're Welcome, in 2023, the group went on to release their debut album, Who Let the Dogs Out, in early 2025. Formed from the ashes of Brighton punk band Wife Swap USA in 2020, Phoebe Lunny (vocals/guitar), Lilly Macieira (bass), and Catt Jack (drums) quickly came together to make new material, launching the Lambrini Girls on the fertile Brighton underground scene. Their incendiary live performances quickly gathered a following, with their raucous take on punk and their skewering of everything from lad culture and sexual harassment to politics and the state of the music industry. The group issued their debut EP, You're Welcome, in 2023 on Big Scary Monsters and played dates alongside Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes, Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs, and Gilla Band. With Lunny and Macieira now recording as a duo, the pair headed to rural Oxford with Gilla Band's Daniel Fox to record their debut album. Upping the intensity with a mix of discordant post-punk and noise-pop, the duo aimed their frustrations at nepo babies, gentrification, gender inequality, capitalism, and more. The resulting album, Who Let the Dogs Out, was issued on City Slang in early 2025. - Biography by Rich Wilson
