Country Singer Sam Rochford Takes Home Award for Single ‘So Easy’

Sam Rochford

Nashville-based americana singer-songwriter Sam Rochford is best known for her laid-back and introspective hit, “So Easy.” The song catapulted the 25-year-old Connecticut native onto the national charts, reaching the IndieWorld Country Record Report Top 40 and the Independent Music Network’s Top 15.

Now, MTS Management Group is pleased to announce Sam Rochford is a winner at the October 2017 Akademia Awards. Rochford, a singer-songwriter from Nashville, TN, won for Best Americana Song for her airplay chart single, “So Easy.” Sam is a former on-air correspondent for WSM Radio’s “Nashville Today.” She is currently in the middle of her “Ink-tober” promotion, writing and posting a new song/video to her Youtube channel every day in October.

Akademia Award Winners are determined by the general voting process held by an expert panel of six judges, who are all former senior executives and industry veterans, from some of the largest record companies. Past winners include country rocker, Chase Allan; Grammy Winner, Ricky Kej; and Music Row-charting Swedish artist, Hicks.

“I am so proud of Sam,” said Michael Stover of MTS Management Group. “She is extremely talented and driven, and to have her recognized by leaders in the industry is a tremendous and well-deserved honor.”
