Cleo Sol always strikes like a thief in the night. Whether it’s the announcement of a multi-night residency or the release of a new album, fans of the “Life Will Be” singer have come to expect the unexpected.
After SAULT dropped their surprise project, Chapter 1, no one thought Cleo Sol would share any solo work. Yet, a worship-driven track produced and co-written by Inflo, Cleo’s longtime collaborator and life partner, was uploaded to streaming platforms.
Just like with every Cleo Sol tune, “Nothing Is Impossible With You” is another soul-string slice of the singer’s life. On 2021’s Mother, Cleo Sol chronicled her transition into parenthood.
While 2023’s Gold is a inimate look at Cleo Sol’s affirmation practices. “Nothing Is Impossible With You” continues in this vein. Similar to “There Will Be No Crying,” Cleo Sol uses “Nothing Is Impossible With You” as a manifesto of her faith.
“Nothing is impossible with You / Gotta jump over the river / Lord, will You guide and protect us? / I put my trust in You / Nothing is impossible with You / Sitting down with my loved ones / I won’t turn to stone in this cold world / I put my trust in You / ‘Cause nothing is impossible with You,” sings Cleo.
With laser-sharp compositions featuring a comfortingly guiding piano and flickers of drum accents, “Nothing Is Impossible With You” is Cleo Sol’s serenading surrender to the healing hands of all things holy.
