Christian Lee Hutson, Palehound, Katy Kirby, Wild Pink, And More To Perform At A Zohran Mamdani Rally

Festival season is in full swing. But, apparently, in New York City, the hottest ticket in town is to mayoral hopeful Zohran Mamdani’s campaign rallies. Well, that’s what indie rock lovers believe.

Over the next few weeks, musicians Lowertown, Venus Twins, Gift, Brutus VII, Palehound, Katy Kirby, Christian Lee Hutson, Wild Pink, and more are set to lend their voices to the Mamdani campaign as part of the Indie Rockers For A Better New York rallies.

On August 24, the series of rallies will kick off at Union Pool. The musicians scheduled to perform at the event include Lowertown, Venus Twins, Lexie, and Kolb. The following day (August 25), Gift, Brutus VII, Sweet Baby Jesus, and Liam Kazar will take over TV Eye.

Then, on September 1, things head to Night Club 101 for solo performances by Palehound, Katy Kirby, S.3.R., Sofia Wolfson, Kierst, Tracey Nelson, and Thanks for Coming. Will Menaker will serve as the rally’s special host.

The last rally featuring acts Christian Lee Hutson, Wild Pink, Diamond Grinder will be held on September 3 at Honey’s.

While each performance will feature a unique lineup, there’s one element that will be consistent across events. Voting registration and volunteer sign-up opportunities will be available on-site.

According to organizers, all proceeds from the Indie Rockers For A Better New York show will be split between several grassroots organizations, including New Yorkers For Lower Costs, NYC Migrant Solidarity, and the Sameer Project. Learn more here.
