Father/Daughter Records‘ singer Christelle Bofale has made quite the name for herself since signing to the boutique label back in February of 2019. After earning the “Alternative Rookie of the Year” title following the release of her highly acclaimed 5-track debut EP Swim, Bofale continued to win over the hearts of fans on the road by way of her live performances.

With shows on hold until further notice, I recommend those who aren’t familiar with the Austin-based songwriter to take this time to get familiar starting with her new single, “Miles“.

The track featuring bass and keys from Jake Miles highlights just how mature not only Bofale’s vocal ability is but her songwriting as well.

Bofale took to social media to talk about the inspiration behind the track stating, “[I] wrote ‘Miles’ while in high school. Looking out the window during English class, [I] observed how each car was using up the same miles, driving the same roads, yet the destination and lives of the drivers were all completely different.”

Later adding, “[‘Miles’ outlines me] feeling pressured to map out [my] post-high school life”.
