As the aeronomic community celebrates the 50th anniversary of the launch of the Apollo 11 indie rap star Chris Rivers explores space in another way. Rivers has been out in the desert shooting his own moon landing for the new singe, “N.A.S.A.” off his forthcoming album, Greatest in the Universe.

The Bronx native took to his Facebook page to take about the inspiration behind the track, “N.A.S.A., normally associated with the exploration of space, is now an acronym for Niggas Act So Authentic and how sometimes we need space from all that energy,” adding, “it sounds like we’ve been doing this for at least 400 years with high levels of lyricism, flows, smoothness, and overall out of this world, boundless awesomeness. I can’t wait to show ya. I can’t wait to perform this. I can’t wait to show ya the rest of GITU,” wrote Rivers.

Stream the full track produced by Rod The Producer featuring Oswin Benjamin below!

Greatest in the Universe will land on Mello Music Group on August 16.
