Ohio folk rock trio CAAMP just released their latest single, “Officer of Love” via Mom + Pop Records. The track is a feel-good record about love that tastes like summer. Lead vocalist Taylor Meier, along with guitarist Evan Westfall and bassist Matt Vinson, recorded the single on the road in the summer of 2019, and have played live versions of the song in the past. However, the studio release has a fresh facelift to the warm song.
“Officer Of Love” is sweet, spontaneous, and expressive. The laid-back instrumentals remind listeners of a summer trip, wind on their faces, and freedom in their trunk. The trio manages to capture the joy of being in love through acoustic guitars, strong vocals, and candid lyrics.
In the official video for “Officer Of Love” brings to life the carefree countryside vibe that CAAMP had in mind while recording the single. Colorful animations, psychedelic flowers, and a truck that won’t stop cruising? The visuals are as engaging and imaginative as the single itself.
