Here’s Everything We Know About: Blondshell’s Album ‘If You Asked For A Picture’

Blondshell

Three years ago, Sabrina Teitelbaum funnelled her creative vision into the musical project, Blondshell. Under that moniker, in 2023, she released her self-titled debut album after a series of EPs. The 9-track project went on to become a critically acclaimed body of work. Now, she’s ready to follow that release.

Next month, Blondshell’s long-awaited sophomore album, If You Asked For A Picture, will hit streaming platforms. Its promotional singles “T&A,” “What’s Fair,” “Two Times,” and “23’s A Baby” paint the deeply emotional space Blondshell is ready to invite fans into.

In a statement, Blondshell revealed the album’s title was pulled from a Mary Oliver poem. Similar to the literary work, If You Asked For A Picture “explores themes of control, relationships, and self-reflection.” This “autobiographical story” is a necessary piece of Blondshell’s personal and professional recentering. Just as she finds her way back to herself, on the album Blondshell reunites with former producer Yves Rothman.
