Ben Reilly Announces The Release Date Of His Long-Anticipated Debut Album ‘Save!’

Ben Reilly’s combat boots are laced, and his cape is tied tight. With three projects to his name, the rising rapper has quickly become a hero in the independent hip-hop scene.

Still, the “Don’t Lose The Plot” musician hasn’t shared his debut album. Well, that will change rather soon. Over on X (formerly Twitter), Ben Reilly announced the release date for his forthcoming project, Save!.

On November 17, Reilly fans can dive into his long-awaited debut body of work. Across 44 minutes (which consists of 15 tracks), Reilly will recount his hero’s journey.

“This album is the story about a young boy turned man,” Reilly wrote in a statement on Instagram. “It’s an amalgamation of my real-life experiences and things I’ve witnessed streamlined into an audio comic book.”

He continued: “This took 3 years to make, and my whole life for me to get off. Truthfully, working on this project/getting it out has been one of the hardest periods of my life. It’s been a vulnerable phase for me. So, I hope you all enjoy come November.”

Although Reilly has released two full-length projects, 2021’s Freelance and 2022’s Freelance: Charlie, Reilly explained why Save! marks his official debut during an exchange with a user on X.

“My first two projects, which did pretty well for me. I treated [them] like mixtapes, the intentionality behind them was different, some of the beats were original, and the others were YouTube/SoundCloud beats,” remarked Reilly. “For [‘Save!’] mostly everything is built from the ground up. The effort has been substantial. It’s telling my story and how things might’ve begun for me. So for me, it’s a debut. It’s setting the stage for people to get to know me.”

Although Reilly has not yet revealed the project’s official tracklist, he has shared the artwork and its meaning.

“This door is me inviting you into my story as I take a look at the people I believe were heroes to me, the heroes I wanted, as well as the times I needed a hero and identifying the hero I needed to become,” remarked Reilly.
