New Jersey-based singer and songwriter teams up with fellow R&B goddess, Karma for the hot new track, “Summer”. Together these two r&b queens serve you smooth, sweet, and authentic r&b vocals bringing back late 90s/early 2000s nostalgia brought to life by Brooklyn native Andre Uncut of GoodBreedFilms Productions.
“[Andre] takes us back to the times when people enjoyed Vh1 Soul.” says Bekhari. Andre’s work both vibrant and rich in black culture, pieces together the past and present culture effortlessly.
When asked about the inspiration behind the track, the songstress replied, “it has been a long time coming. I’ve been sitting on this beat for 4 years, and when I first heard it I instantly thought of Amerie’s song ‘One Thing’. That is my favorite song to listen to, especially in the summer. The vibe of that song makes me feel so warm, vibrant, and sexy,” adding, “I was inspired to create that ‘summer love’ feeling on my own, and I also couldn’t just do it alone. I’m so happy I asked Karma to hop on this single. She’s extremely talented and really floated on her verse. I also instantly thought of my friend Andre who really knows how to capture r&b essence. All in all, everyone came together so beautifully.”
