London-based pop newbie ANDREA is hanging up her short-lived “cover artist” title to show fans what she has to offer. The Norway native’s debut single, “Fighting For” co-produced by Hugo ‘Hush’ Shaw and GNIE is a solid showing for the rookie recording artist but she still has room to grow.
With a simple bass line, easy to follow along with lyrics, mirroring harmonizes and accents of vocal distortion, the track contains all the necessary formulaic elements to be considered a pop banger.
ANDREA’s fluffy lead vocals counterbalanced by the injection of the bass drum is nostalgic of Imagine Dragon‘s 2017 smash song “Thunder” minus the bold EDM characteristics.
When asked about the inspiration behind the track she replied, “I can often feel anxious when I think about the future. Especially now with everything that’s going on in the world. However, I’m hoping that with time I’ll have a better idea of where I’m heading in life and what I’m fighting for“.
