While slow and steady may win the race, recording artist Alex Isley is full speed ahead as she prepares to hit the road for her debut headlining tour kicking off this summer. The “Good & Plenty” vocalist will travel across the country beginning in August for a total of 15 shows presented in partnership with the entertainment company, Femme It Forward. Originally announced as an intimate experience for supporters, as her collaborative project Marigold with Jack Dine gained traction online tickets began to sell out forcing Isley to opt for larger venues to support the growing demand.
Joining the “Into Orbit” singer on the road are New York City native LAYA, Decatur representative Gwen Bunn, and Oakland’s Zyah Belle. We had a chance to speak with Zyah Belle about joining the tour to which she said, “I am super excited to tour. Fans can expect an intimate performance from me. Showcasing released and unreleased music. This is where my music comes alive,” later adding, “this is my first time supporting an artist on tour so I feel incredibly blessed and favored. I’m excited to see new faces at every tour stop.”
Founder and CEO of Femme It Forward, Heather Lowery spoke about the company’s mission to support women artists like Alex Isley in a statement. “Women succeed when we support each other, and as a company dedicated to celebrating the depth, power, and talent of women in music and entertainment, we have a special responsibility to cultivate the next generation of female leaders in the workplace,” said Lowery.
To commemorate this being her first headlining tour, Isley is offering limited V.I.P. packages in select cities. The package will include a meet & greet photo opportunity, entry to the pre-show soundcheck with a question and answer session prior to the concert, one gift, and a commemorative VIP laminate with a lanyard.
