For years, Alex Amen has been a lonely cowboy wrangling up supporters in the independent country music space. But the singer-songwriter’s time on his own has come to an end.
On March 5, indie label powerhouse ATO Records announced the signing of Alex Amen and rolled out his serene debut single, “Cabin By The Sea.”
In a post shared to the company’s official Instagram page, ATO expounded upon what drew the label to Amen and the new track.
“Alex Amen’s affinity for wandering the outdoors and the transcendentality of immersing himself in nature come through vividly on the track, which was inspired by a range of experiences during his nomadic journey,” wrote the label rep.
Amen shared in the label’s joy on Instagram, writing, “Very excited to be putting out my first song of the year […] This song is one of many to come and is the first to have been made in a real deal studio in the way I’ve always wanted to record. So many good friends and amazing people have been a part of making it – real excited to have it out in the world.”
In addition to Amen’s newly inked record deal with ATO Records, he signed a deal with Rick Rubin’s publishing venture, American Songs, and PULSE Music Publishing.
