Following the successful release of his 2017 EP Summers, Queens recording artist Akinyemi has continued to build a buzz with sold out performances and critically acclaimed collaborations his new single, “Time” is no different.
By way of his official social media profiles, the 22-year hinted that a joint project was in the works with none other than electronic producer and recording artist Birocratic, “Time” is the result of their first-ever session together.
When asked about the inspiration behind the track, Akinyemi replied, “as an independent artist [you have to] understand the struggle and stress to balance work with happiness. And pause when necessary for a recuperative break – while learning to never waster a precious moment”.
The groovy new track effortlessly blends Akinyemi’s lyrical ability and Brocratic’s hi-fi hypercolored sonic style. Stream the full track below!
