Grammy Award winner Shaboozey is an outlaw and proud of it. Tomorrow, July 31, the “The Long Walk” musician will release The Outlaw Cherie Lee & Other Western Tales, his highly anticipated follow-up to 2025’s Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going.
On the forthcoming body of work, Shaboozey continues to expand the musical world he’s built on vulnerability, love, tension, and more. In a statement shared on X, Shaboozey detailed the inspiration behind the body of work.
“My last album was a journal entry that changed my life, me letting the world know who I was as a person and everything I was experiencing at the time,” wrote Shaboozey. “This time, I wanted to show y’all the other parts of me. The artist. The storyteller.”
As country music’s favorite rebel, the cowboy theme isn’t foreign to Shaboozey. Back in 2022, Shaboozey first explored the cowboy mindset via Cowboys Live Forever, Outlaws Never Die.
On The Outlaw Cherie Lee & Other Western Tales, Shaboozey challenges himself to dive deeper into his storytelling and sonic exploration.
The 20-track album features appearances from Jamie Foxx, Gunna, Leon Bridges, Teyana Taylor, Kehlani, Sam Elliott, and Orville Peck.
