Charley Yang, better known as BoyWithUke, is a Korean-American singer, musician and internet personality. Charley first gained popularity on the online platform TikTok with his "Minute-Long Songs" series, where he made and posted short songs usually less than a minute long. He would make songs based on comments from fans. One of his early Minute-Long Songs, "Two Moons,” became popular on TikTok and later his most famous song, “Toxic,” brought him to where he is today. BoyWithUke released songs on Soundcloud nearly 2 years before he released his first album on Spotify, "Melatonin Dreams" under the artist name 'ookbaba.' He released his first song on Soundcloud on March 10th, 2019. As BoyWithUke, Charley Yang released The Dream Saga, and Burnout, then at the end of the Official Music Video 'Homesick", Charley Yang shows his face without the mask for a few seconds, and has now stated that he will not use it anymore In 2023, Charley Yang did a face reveal. He previously wore an electric mask with round blue eyes and nothing else, and had kept his identity a secret since starting his music career as the masked 'BoyWithUke.' In the end of the Official Music Video 'Homesick,' he shows himself without the mask for a few seconds, but the next music video, “King of Nothing,” has him displayed in the full video without the mask. In the same period, he reveals GIFs and videos of his face reveal on TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), etc. Since then, he has been uploading videos and pictures without his mask, and said that he is no longer planning to use the mask. August 1, 2024, Charley Yang announced on an X (formerly Twitter) post that his album "Burnout" would be his last project under the alias of 'BoyWithUke' as he felt confined and didn't like being hidden behind the mask, he said he will start to upload music under his former legal name 'Chandol'. Charley Yang's alias 'Chandol' was announced in Late 2024 and announced an album called "Mercurial". On 19 May, 2026 Chandol released a q minute teaser of a song believed to be called "TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF." He published his first song "Breakfast in Bed" under this new alias in 2026 on 22 May, 2026. He published his second song "2002" on 13 June, 2026.
