Here Are Our Top Independent Concerts And Performances For The Week Beginning On May 18, 2026

With warm weather comes music festival season. However, live music lovers should not overlook programming held within the walls of venues in the tristate area. Several independent artists have unveiled their tristate touring plans.

Last week, April + VISTA announced their debut headlining Fly On The Wall Tour, which includes a Brooklyn show date in July. Charlotte Lawrence and Rochelle Jordan, on the other hand, were revealed to be Suki Waterhouse’s The Loveland Tour’s opening support. In September, Suki Waterhouse and Charlotte Lawrence will take over Radio City Music Hall.

While, due to overwhelming demand, Jill Scott revealed the expansion of her To Whom This May Concern World Tour. With several dates already sold out and others on a low ticket alert, fans of Scott have a few more opportunities to catch the multiple Grammy Award winner in Brooklyn at Kings Theatre or in her hometown, Philadelphia, at The Met, both in July.

As for what shows are taking place this week in the greater New York City and Philadelphia area, our top recommendation includes Earth to Eve‘s Oversharing on the Internet Tour and Ambar Lucid’s Entre Dos Mundos Tour stop at Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn, Curren$y‘s The Winner’s Tour stop at Sony Hall in New York City, Superheaven’s Ours Is Chrome anniversary show at Union Transfer in Philadelphia, and more.
