‘One Battle After Another,’ ‘Sentimental Value,’ ‘Sinners,’ And ‘White Lotus’ Lead The 2026 Golden Globe Nominations

The 2026 Golden Globes are quickly approaching. As film and television professionals prepare for the big night, fans are fiercely predicting the evening’s big winners.

Yesterday (December 8), the full list of nominations for the 2026 Golden Globes Awards was released. Atop the list is Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another with nine nominations (Best Motion Picture – Musical Or Comedy, Best Director – Motion Picture, Best Screenplay – Motion Picture, and Best Original Score – Motion Picture) including acknowledgement of several actors Chase Infiniti (Best Performance By A Female Actor In A Motion Picture – Musical Or Comedy), Leonardo DiCaprio (Best Performance By A Male Actor In A Motion Picture – Musical Or Comedy), Teyana Taylor (Best Performance By A Female Actor In A Supporting Role In Any Motion Picture), Benicio del Toro and Sean Penn (Best Performance By A Male Actor In A Supporting Role In Any Motion Picture).

The second most nominated picture is Joachim Trier’s Sentimental Value with eight nominations (Best Motion Picture – Drama, Best Motion Picture – Non-English Language, Best Director – Motion Picture, and Best Screenplay – Motion Picture). Stars Renate Reinsve (Best Performance By A Female Actor In A Motion Picture – Drama), Elle Fanning and Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas (Best Performance By A Female Actor In A Supporting Role In Any Motion Picture), as well as Stellan Skarsgård (Best Performance By A Male Actor In A Supporting Role In Any Motion Picture) secured nominations for their performance.

Ryan Coogler’s Sinners follows with seven nominations (Best Motion Picture – Drama, Cinematic And Box Office Achievement, Best Director – Motion Picture, Best Screenplay – Motion Picture, Best Original Score – Motion Picture, Best Original Song – Motion Picture). While leading man Michael B. Jordan earned a nomination for his role in the box office smash (Best Performance By A Male Actor In A Motion Picture – Drama).

As for the TV nominations, The White Lotus secured six noms (Best Television Series – Drama, ). Carrie Coon, Parker Posey, and Aimee Lou Wood will duke it out in the Best Performance By A Female Actor In A Supporting Role On Television category. Walton Goggins and Jason Isaacs are both up for Best Performance By A Male Actor In A Supporting Role On Television.

Right behind that is Adolescence, which snagged five noms (Best Television Limited Series, Anthology Series Or Motion Picture Made For Television). Several cast members are up for individual spotlight categories including Stephen Graham (Best Performance By A Male Actor In A Limited Series, Anthology Series, Or A Motion Picture Made For Television), Erin Doherty (Best Performance By A Female Actor In A Supporting Role On Television), Owen Cooper and Ashley Walters (Best Performance By A Male Actor In A Supporting Role On Television).

The (83rd annual) 2026 Golden Globes Awards, which will be hosted by Nikki Glaser, will be held on January 11, 2026, beginning at 5 p.m. Eastern. The ceremony will be exclusively broadcast via CBS and Paramount+. Find more information here.
