Here’s Everything We Know About: Spiritual Cramp’s Album ‘Rude’

Back in 2023, Spiritual Cramp released their bold debut self-titled album. Now, with punk music lovers’ full attention, the band is ready to drop their official follow-up. On Rude, Spiritual Cramp’s goal is to repeat the “cheekiness, emotional vulnerability, and raw energy” heard throughout their debut.

Produced by Grammy Award-winning John Congleton, mixed by Carlos de la Garza, and featuring a duet with Sharon Van Etten, Rude is a love letter from Spiritual Cramp to their San Francisco musical roots.

In a statement, Spiritual Cramp’s frontman, Michael Bingham, spoke about the forthcoming album.

“When you focus on yourself and the people around you, you can keep your side of the street clean,” said Bingham. “And when I see the opposite of that, I get kind of offended, which is what a lot of these songs are about. My foundation is in San Francisco, California, and from there I can go anywhere and be who I am.”
