Joyer Announces Album ‘On The Other End Of The Line’ With Twangy Lead Single ‘Cure’

Indie rock duo Joyer (comprised of siblings Nick and Shane Sullivan) has carved out a lane for themselves in the East Coast DIY scene. But this winter, they have their hearts set on nationwide domination as the support acts on Teethe’s tour.

To prepare for their quest, Joyer will release their anticipated follow-up to 2024’s Night Songs. With their twangy lead single “Cure,” Joyer has officially announced their forthcoming album, On The Other End Of The Line...

The body of work will serve as their debut drop on Julia’s War Recordings. In a statement shared with ENVERT, Shane Sullivan spoke about the meaning behind the twinkling tune.

“This song is about loneliness and searching for connection in any and every place,” he said. “I wrote this one from the perspective of a made-up character, but it definitely has some personal feelings mixed in.“

He continued: “I was thinking a lot about how a small or seemingly inconsequential interaction with a stranger at a bar or a customer service worker over the phone can be meaningful or fulfilling.”
