Here’s Everything We Know About: Peyton’s Album ‘Au’

Four years have passed since Peyton’s last studio album, PSA. With a new creative perspective, the “Verbs” singer is ready to reintroduce herself to fans.

This fall, that full-length musical conversation is set to take place. With two singles, “Red Flags” and “Not Your Girl,” racking up streams online, supporters are ready for Peyton’s forthcoming body of work, Au.

As the project’s title suggests, Au is centered around the element gold, but rather its metaphorical meaning.

“It’s a pledge to stay golden in a world that tries to dull your shine,” says Peyton in a statement shared with ENVERT. “‘Au’ is a record rooted in honesty and emotional self-preservation.”

According to the liner notes on Stones Throw Records’ website, Au was “shaped in tight collaboration” with producer Shafiq Husayn, with co-production and instrumentation from Om’Mas Keith.

Other guests on Au include Brian Alexander Morgan, Didda Joe, and Sunni Colon.
