There is no drought for ELHAE music. Yet still, the “I Choose You” singer refuses to let up. After partnering with Xavier Omär on their 2024 joint EP Truth Be Told, ELHAE is back with new original solo work.
Tomorrow (July 25), Lotus Ave, ELHAE’s solo follow-up to 2023’s Forgotten Flowers will hit streaming platforms. So far, singles “Is This Love?” featuring Phabo and “I Choose You” featuring Ambré are the first sonic offerings from Lotus Ave.
On X (formerly Twitter), ELHAE spoke about the inspiration behind Lotus Ave.
“I really haven’t felt this way about an album since ‘Trouble in Paradise,'” he wrote. “‘Lotus Ave’ is literally so raw and honest. I’d say even more so than ‘Trouble in Paradise.’ Its rawness is more comparable to my earlier work, honestly, i.e., aura and her. But that’ll be for the people to decide.”
He continued: “Either way, I’ve said this once, and I’ll say it again, I know it’s going to help a lot of people. That’s what I’m most proud of.”
