Singer, songwriter, and guitarist Elise Okusami is both an individual and a collective. As a collective, Elise Okusami operates as the band Oceanator. If you aren’t familiar with their past three projects, 2017’s Oceanator, 2020’s Things I Never Said, and 2022’s Nothing’s Ever Fine. Come the end of the month, you will have another chance to dive into their discography by way of Oceanator’s latest album, Everything Is Love And Death.
So far, Oceanator has shared four singles, “First Time,” “Get Out,” “Be Here,” and “Drift Away,” all of which are expected to appear on the final body of work. If those records didn’t provide enough of a hint for what was to come, they teased more about the theme in a statement.
“In the literal sense, all my songs are about apocalypse and love,” said Oceanator.
